Privacy Policy

Last updated August 2026

This policy explains how Statement to QBO (β€œwe”), operated at statementtoqbo.com, handles your data when you use the tool.

The files you upload

When you upload a bank statement, it is processed in memory to extract your data. The original uploaded file is deleted immediately after your spreadsheet is generated - we never store the source document, and we do not use it to train any model.

If you are signed in, the extracted data (the rows, not the original file) is kept for 24 hours so you can re-download it from your Documents page, then it is automatically and permanently deleted. Anonymous conversions are never stored. You can delete your account and all stored data at any time from Settings.

To perform the extraction, the document is sent over an encrypted connection to our AI processing provider, which reads it and returns structured data on a transient basis. It is not retained for training by us. If you handle especially sensitive documents, review your own compliance requirements before uploading.

Information we collect

If you sign in, we store your email address and a hashed password (or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google). On paid plans we store a Stripe customer reference and your plan. We do not sell or share your personal information with anyone except the processors listed above.

Cookies and analytics

We use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics script to count page views and see which pages people use. It does not track you across sites. Authentication uses a standard session cookie.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page, which removes your personal data and usage records. Email support at support@statementtoqbo.com and we will action any request within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the β€œLast updated” date above. Continued use of the tool after a change means you accept the updated policy.
